icon Non-Raised Characters on Walls (+1)
When a character is on a wall, door or other raised object, then the character itself is displaced upwards. This is not always desirable, especially with Seep roles and Ghost Display characters.

Currently, the only thing that will not automatically be raised when placed on a wall are those that have eMovement set to WALL, which means only the standard Seep character. Since Characters do not set eMovement, they will never have this functionality inherently.

As a result, I would like to request either a new Imperative, or an attribute for Seep Roles, such that the character is not raised when placed on top of a wall. Ideally, whichever way this feature gets implemented, it would also be ported back to TCB eventually.

Same thing for the flying, and water-walking I would guess. Gives more opportunities to script more kinds of monsters.

hyperme, adding this functionality seems right up your alley.

You might have already added this already. If not, would you be interested in implementing it?

I can have a look, for sure. The easy method is probably to allow the movement type to be set via script command, which allows architects a little more freedom with what their custom monsters look like. It's a little weird, since movement type doesn't usually have an effect in DROD RPG, but that's not a big issue.

1.3.0.368 setting the movement type to wall does correctly draw the monster lower down on the wall.

It also draws the monster lower on the wall if you pre-reveal the room via the new map item and haven't entered the room yet but preview it by clicking on the room in the mimimap.

But it does not lower the monster if you scroll into the room in room preview room and have not entered it yet this playthrough. So an inconsistency between clicking on the room and scrolling into it.

I can't find any thread in the regular DROD feature request forum for Set Movement Type, so I'll mention some other bugs here. Can't guarantee the same issues are also present in regular DROD 5.2.

When I make a custom monster based on a non-flying monster type then give it movement type Air, this will start the room weighing down the PP and will then trigger a plate release on turn 1. Note that if I base it on a flying type e.g. Wraithwing, then it will correctly not weigh down the PP.

But on that note, if I base a custom monster on Wraithwing and then set its Movement Type to be Ground, it will simply not weigh down a PP.

I believe hyperme has addressed all of these issues in this PR.

Can confirm all these issues are fixed in 1.3.0.370:
* Monsters set to movement type wall do not raise up on top of the wall in all states of room preview.
* Monsters set to movement type Ground correctly weigh down pressure plates on turn 0 and in room previews regardless of base type.
* Monsters set to movement type Air do not weigh down pressure plates on turn 0 and in room previews regardless of base type.
