When you try to exit a room with control+direction but fail, as most of us know, you get the message "No simple clear or previous path is available". As English, this is gibberish; as a message, it can be incredibly misleading. Trying to exit to a room you haven't been to before gives this message, even when a "simple clear" path is available; for that matter, you can use control-move to take a path you haven't taken before as long as you've been to that room via some other path.

I'd really love to see this message changed to, say, "No known path is available". It's low-priority, but it's probably also really easy, too.

Hmm...I read the title of your thread and couldn't make sense of it at all. Funny, that.
