I'd be happy to help, but the only download I see on the page for 1.2.0.56 is for a Mac, and I can't really help there.

Alright, I must have been really tired last night, I apologize.

Anyways, I installed 1.1, played for a while to make sure it was working, then ran the 1.2.0.55 over 1.1. I get the "An unexpected error occured" message, along with "Error=468" at the end.

Okay, I wonder whether the patch is just borked with the current install path. I'll try to work on creating a brand new 1.2.0.57 patch and see whether that one has any more luck.

But, if not, it looks like providing the full install works just fine. So, I'll work on a 1.2.0.57 installer for full+demo versions.

Thanks to a brief lull in TSS development, I've had the opportunity to knock some to-do items off my list. As one of these, I've prepped and created a fresh, new 1.2.0.57 full DRPD RPG install and put it on the Downloads page.

Please note that the TT hold fixes and all build 57 fixes mentioned on first post should now be incorporated into the build.

As a little bonus, I've incorporated some improved outlined font rendering that you'll be seeing in 5.0.

If this build works fine for beta testers for a while, I'll put a new demo installer on the CG page as well, remove beta tags, and say 1.2.0 is officially released!

Great! If there are any new bugs introduced in this build, please let me know so those can be resolved for an official 1.2.0 release. Pre-existing bugs will be resolved once this version is out. (We have to make some progress here.)

I can confirm that Build 56 crashes on launch. This necessitates an uninstall and reinstall. (Using Windows 7.)

However, Build 57 runs perfectly. Because of this, can I request that Build 56 no longer be distributed, and 57 is what's released in this topic? I wouldn't want anyone else thinking 56 is the current beta build, downloading it, and realizing it doesn't work.

I'm fine with that. I've removed build 56 from first post. Is there anywhere else I should remove mentions of build 56?

There's no patch for 57 -- just the full installer.

I haven't really seen feedback here for how well 1.2.0.57 is being received. So, I guess I'll just push it out and say it's official.

Time to start working on 1.2.1 or 1.3 so we can get the rest of the bugs on the list fixed!

Well, knocking off some more bugs will probably wait until TSS is released, but I do want to continue fixing RPG bugs, especially so architects are less inhibited by issues.

When I try to download 1.2.0.57 using the installer, it only downloads 1.2.0.54. Any reason this is happening?

Sorry for double post, but I really need to know. I can only download 1.2.0.54 as I said, and all the holds on architecture are not supporting 1.2.0.54.

Not sure what you mean by "download 1.2.0.57 using the installer". The installer won't download anything. You have to download the 1.2.0.57 installer from the Downloads board, then install it.

Ummm... There is no 1.2.0.57 on the download page... only 1.2.0.54. AAAND... the installer (download the demo via the games page) still only picks up 1.1.0.5.4. Where is this installer, if it's not on the games page? Because there are no installers on the Downloads page either, just patches.

If you haven't implemented a demo version of this, please do!

Oh, I see the problem. The downloads page says (c) 2012 Caravel Games, so it has not been updated for > 2 years.

DROD RPG 1.2.0.58 for Linux is up at the downloads page. It's got all the fixes in the first post and also doesn't crash at startup now.

Guys, it looks like DROD RPG on GOG is the outdated version 1.2.0.55. Could you update it or give me a link to a patch?

The GOG version still stuck at 1.2.0.55. The last build is needed. There's no chance that the people take seriously any game if you don't deliver the latest build to every platform where the game is sold...

My sincere apologies for the inconvenience and long delay in providing a patch. I've provided the Windows version 1.2.1.59 patch on the Downloads page.

I'll be providing an updated full game installer to GOG in the near future. Until then, please go ahead and use this patch on top of 1.2.0.55.
