How about a grappling hook token, a level map which shows all or some certain rooms, and, (I know this is really crazy but), how about a new room setting in the editor, which freeze a room so that it doesn't change back to its original state when the player leaves the room. All monsters, briar, trapdoors, doors etc. will stay in the same state as when the player left the room. Yes, this will cause a lot of problems, (probably too much), but I think some really awesome puzzles can be made with this setting.

Also some scripts in DROD RPG would be cool to see in DROD I think, like the add room to map script, and the build script.

The problem is that the way DROD is currently built, it assumes that you'd never want to revert to an earlier state outside of a single room. You'd need interface changes just to include the possibility, or maybe you could have a recursion of the rule instead; instead of rooms resetting when you leave them unless you conquer them first, levels reset when you leave them. Barring getting stuck away from the stairs that'd do it, so maybe you'd want an interface change after all (press this button to restart at the beginning of this level?)

I went back in time and put this into the first AE.

Then everyone decided it was terrible, so we took it out again in JtRH.

Sorry.
