Actually, antidoors have been suggested before. But I like these. This could be useful in "routing"... like, you kill all the enemies, you can't go on one path. It might be more challenging to leave with all enemies alive.

You could build rooms where you have to kill the monsters in certain areas or you get trapped.

Okay... but are you suggesting other anti-doors as well? This could prove for some interesing stories(and ethical choices) for holds in 1.7. Does Beethro leave some monsters alive, and in effect seed(antibluedoor open, and he goes to level 2), or does he kill all the monsters and go to level 2-A?

The original feature request was AlefBet's sister gates -- of the same colors as the existing green, red and blue gates, except they close at the time their original counterparts open. I like the idea too.

Yay! We can finally have interesting routes....

Except we could have done that before with tar... but only as a anti-green door.

And if we can program NPCs(Which I doubt) we COULD be able to have them route you depending on what's open and what's closed... like, you've got a narrow hallway that forks. you arrive from the south. On the west side is a blue door w/an NPC behind it. If the door is open he heads east and closes a door there, forcing you to go left. If the door isn't open then you have to go right...

Can't we provide this same path routing using force arrows, though? Make a room such that you can only defeat it by stepping on one set of arrows, thus negating the possibility of going the other way, and each way has an exit that goes to a different place?

Um... sure you can. You can do anti-red, anyway. Design your trapdoor room such that after clearing the trap doors you are forced to hit a specific orb that happens to close a door that blocks one of the routes.

For anti-blue, you can put an orb behind a 2x2 piece of tar in a tar mother room, such that the orb opens the only way to the next exit. If you force this to be the last room finished before the blue door drops, then you've just created an anti-blue door.

Yeah - when architects are forced to do stuff like that, it can make the room look pretty bulky. That's what I think, anyways.

Yeah, that and limited application. I mean, you can only do so much with tar/mothers, or routing trapdoors. This way you can finally make decent conditional segments in your hold.
