Nah, this is a game that can be played by the masses on just about any machine. It is designed that way.
'Have you already been sued by Jack Thompson?'
Not yet. Hopefully he is not a roach lover.
'Do you think it will appeal to casual gamers?'
Yes, probably more so than DROD, with the larger sprites and mouse control. Puzzles could be made easier or harder by design.
'Is there hope for a sequel?'
Definitely, but I suppose that depends in part on how the game is received. (Also, please, don't anyone go and put the game up on a torrent. That just deflates my desire to make more of these.)
Seriously, how do you guys feel about doing a sequel to DROD RPG or even starting your own epic series? Is it possible for DROD and its spin-off(s) to go separate ways that involve, for example, mutually exclusive enemies, items etc.? Or are you intent on keeping them tightly interwoven?
These two series do take place in the same game world, so many creatures and enemies will be the same. However, this game does support more flexible AI and scripting, so we could end up seeing all kinds of new enemies and items that aren't possible in DROD. Yet.
