I drink 2 cups a day, live in a countryside, like the summer and watch news, reality TV.

You should add option "City" to the "Where do you live"(City and town are different a bit).

O.K. I went with 4-6 cups a day, live in town, my favourite season is summer(there's no school!) and I like nothing on TV - I like playing computer instead of watching anything on TV. :)

I don't drink any coffee at all and I live in a village. Every season is great expect winter... it's too cold here. I usually watch news, movies or crime when I watch TV

I don't drink coffee, I live in the suburbs, I prefer winter because of the pretty snow, and I like TV.....

What? Do I have to like a specific type?

I haven't had coffee in years. It smells so good, but tastes so terrible. I like coffee-flavored things though...

I also haven't watched TV in quite a while.

Then you're simply not adding enough milk... maybe try pouring a bit of coffee into your milk instead of the other way round? ;)

np: Saul Williams - Break (The Inevitable Rise And Liberation Of NiggyTardust!)

It isn't, a standard cup is about 25 cl, 8 cups equals 2l, which isn't deadly. For death caused by cafeïne you have to drink about 100 cups within 4 hours (25 cups/h). Though I have to add that you would die earlier by getting too much water in your body.

I strongly doubt that you would need to drink that much.

I live in a "major" city with over 100K inhabitants...many of those being college students. I've never drunk coffee. I like watching good sci-fi and anime suitable for children. I like spring and fall seasons best -- where I live, they are temperate and most beautiful to me.

Though I know religion is generally avoided on the forum, this shouldn't be offensive I don't think, and I'm a bit curious. Do you follow the full LDS restrictions to the point you've never had tea or caffeinated sodas as well, or was there just a lack of interest in trying coffee?

Sure, I'm happy to answer that. No, I haven't had green/black tea either, though we have herbal teas at home, which are acceptable (I like mint and raspberry best). There isn't any LDS rule about caffeine, per se, so there aren't any restrictions against caffeinated soda. Alongside more dangerous/addictive behaviors like alcohol and drug abuse, coffee and tea are also singled out as to be avoided for health reasons, which is why I haven't tried them.

I can't stand coffee and tea, but I've acquired a caffeine habit nevertheless - there's a vending machine directly outside the first year maths lecture hall selling cheap Dr. Pepper. Eating and drinking during lectures is of course strictly prohibited, and the lecturers are very careful to enforce the ban on the grounds that enhanced alertness during lectures is a bad thing. :) Of course, the dosage does tend to go up rather during the exam term...

Okay, no eating during lectures I can understand, but no drinking?

If they tried to pull such a stupid stunt here there would be blood... :P

I know - at least the lecturers think its stupid as well. It's completely possible to sit in the front row drinking coffee without so much as a raised eyebrow, and for one non-examinable lecture course in particular (History of Maths) the lecturer actually requires food and drink. Cocktail shakers are not unheard of.

A vending machine at uni was where I picked up my coffee habit -- once or twice an hour most evenings you could see a bunch of 3rd year computer science students climb the two floors out of the labs, scuttle across the plaza to the coffee machine and then head back down to write more code. Thankfully I've cut back to once or twice a day since then.

Ick. Am I glad I was working as a technician at our uni - which meant none of that coffee vending machine instant stuff :yucky, but a real espresso machine in our institute's library, a steady supply of fresh milk and a milk foamer... :shifty

(The same goes for my current job at a hospital, of course... O:-)

np: Autechre - Draun Quarter (Envane)
