Record a demo, look at the time taken to do it (using levelthirteen's program), and then post that time in the specified format on here ... the problem is?

I did, but only after first completing it without. Using a 1 sec timer was a lot of fun in some rooms. Newer holds seem to be more difficult, though, so it might not work as well with them.

Regarding the actal topic, I've had this plan for a contest for quite some time. There would be a specific pre-announced time at which a hold would be posted. In the hold, there would be a password located right at the exit. Whoever was first to post the password on the forum would win. Nothing has ever come of this plan, though, as I'm not much an architect (I always run out of ideas very quickly).

I can't seem to get levelthirteen's program to properly work. After testing with three different demos the program fails. I will do more testing.

I have a feeling that it will probably only work with AE demos, as that was when it was written. I think JTRH and later demo formats have some minor differences that cause it to break.

Apparently it does not work with any type of demo for me ... not even with versions from DROD:AE. Is there a reason for this?

OK, update (will do something about the above DPs soon) ...

Please time your time trial runs using a 1-sec timer or a half-sec timer. If possible, record a demo (optional) or use KDD2.0/JtRH/TCB for better timing accuracy. Be reminded that KDD2.0 and KDD will have their own, separate charts.
