I recently got hold of Flash 8, and I'm gonna try to learn how to use it, but then I thought 'What to use as a practice?' Then it hit me, 'Duh, DROD of course!' So I'm gonna try to make a small flash version of AE, which should find it's way onto Newgrounds when it's done. Hopefully, it should contain the first three levels of King Dugan's Dungeon, and it will be accurate to the real game. I've already e-mailed Erik about using AE graphics, and I'm waiting for him to get back to me. But has anyone got any general advice before I start hardcoding stuff into the flash?

A flash animation is definitely not going to be an alternative DROD client.

Nooooooo... we really don't want traffic from that pit, IMO.

I've already e-mailed Erik about using AE graphics, and I'm waiting for him to get back to me.

AE graphics are public domain, so you don't need Erik's permission.

Actually, an 'official' drod flash demo would be a good advert, in my opinion - it will be able to pull in the people who wouldn't download/install something they'd never played before...

far too much work though, and may not be able to represent the game properly, in all it's glory...

I thought this was a good idea at the time.But I realised how hard actionscript is, and I forgot about it. I got about as far as the introductory credits, and that's about it.

This is what I got so far on the quiz. I've only done up to the menu, but I think it's coming along okay at the moment.
