In the Room Editor screen, under SHOW ERRORS checkbox, there should be another checkbox :

[] Tested room

When you check it, nothing will happen, except, in the hold editor screen there will be ( Tested Rooms : number ).

The checkbox will change for each room.

I think that's a good idea expecially for huge and personal projects.

Also, it should automatically be unchecked when you change anything in the room, right?

I really wish there was a "Test hold" mode where you play the hold just like normal, just that demos are kept separate, aren't uploaded and are automatically re-played-through whenever you have edited the hold (or when you feel like watching yourself playing through the hold).

Demos would play automatically (and probably at max speed) until Beethro dies somewhere or doesn't leave the room at the end of the demo, giving you an opportunity to re-solve the room, and automatic playback will continue once Beethro starts the next room in the same orientation and the same tile as in an existing demo, so there'd need to be a highlight where and how Beethro left the room last time.

Kinda like what happens for beta-testers after downloading a changed beta, just without CaravelNet, without beta-testers and semi-automatic... :D

Of course, together with your request you could automatically check "Tested room" when it gets solved in this mode, and automatically uncheck it when the room gets edited.

Or, better yet, instead of showing the number of tested rooms, or even having the checkbox in the first place, the game has a list of all the untested rooms.

In the hold editor screen, there will be a button that says something like "Testing Status."

If you haven't playtested the hold yet (Briareos style), the button will just tell you that you have to playtest it, first.

Rooms that don't have a valid demo are listed when you check the Testing Status. So, if you didn't reach it in your playtest, it appears there. Or, if after a change to a playtested room, the demos left from the playtest become invalid, it also appears on the list, and from there, you can just click on that room on the list to test it and fix the demo (and make sure to leave with the same exit so that the game doesn't have to worry about technicalities).

Just make it so that the game deletes the demo as soon as the room gets changed. Then when you have to playtest the roomit, you can playtest it any way you want!

Ugh... please don't. Even if it doesn't work correctly anymore at some point I'd often want the ability to watch what I previously did until there...
