A spike will be a tile.
You can see dots on that tile.
A spike will rise up in 5 turns and kill the object above it.
Execpt a invinsble NPC.
It can kill beethro.
Simple and fast!

Spikes have been mentioned before. They are a great idea, but I'm not sure what the best way to implement them is.

I don't think any kind of snake should be killed by spikes. But snakes should treat spikes as a wall when they're up, so I guess serpents can be killed by being cornered by them. Hmmm.

And Wraithwings shouldn't be able to cross spikes that are up.
Nor should seeps.


Now for another question: What about wubbas?

Wubbas can be exploded, right? I don't see why they shouldn't be destroyed by spikes either, nor be allowed to pass them while up.

Yes, but explosions are fiery. And since Really Big Swords can't hurt them, I think wubbas are resistant to sharp stuff.
It seems like wubbas are liquidy, like Osmosis Jones (forgive the kid show reference). So spikes shouldn't hurt them.

No enemy should be able to cross spikes that are up, but I think that wubbas and snakes shouldn't be hurt by them when they pop up.

But come to think of it, I guess a snake wouldn't survive spikes.

well, if stabbing them with a really big sword (tm) isn't enough to blow them up...

He meant wubbas can be killed by bombs.

And yeah, the best behaviour for spikes on wubba's would be to pin them there.
