It is in fact Family Guy. (Basic context: Peter, temporarily president of a company, says, "Our profits have been higher than Alyssa Milano!" Cut to Alyssa sitting on the couch watching the episode; she looks shocked, and then yells, "Of all the cheap shots--Joel!" Pan behind her, where her lawyer is on the phone, and says "Relax, relax, I'm suing, I'm suing.") One of my favorite random-and-unexpected moments from the show.

Yeah, i'd seen this film ages ago aswell. Not sure how I can remember the tower though - it was such a cool tower it just burned in my brain.

Wow, that reminds me of scenes from several different movies, but none of them seem to pan out. The guys in armor look a little like Slayers to me, so I'm going to guess Krull even though I don't remember this scene.
