Now I just hope it doesn't come out in the next week. :-)
How could you? wouldn't you rather that TCB was released in the next week than win a bunch rank points? My you're a mercenary fella ;)

I feel a little guilty for guessing this late, though not guilty enough to stop me doing so:
359,000
(ditto TripleM's sentiments)

Oh, what the heck.

370,000.

But only because (infinity - 1) is already taken, and 42 has already been busted.

Of course, it probably won't hit 100% until AFTER the Interface contest is finished. Either that, or they're implementing a skin interface in DROD 3.0.

He's probably working on TCB.

Come on people, what's more important? TCB released, or this game updated? :P

Although it is an official contest, it's in no way affiliated with TCB.

Although mattcrampy is an admin, he is not involved with TCB either.

I'm not working on TCB. I have done tiny little bits on it, but that's mostly on laying plot groundwork during JtRH. I've been working on my own games and projects, and so haven't been visiting the forum, and this will probably continue for some time. (I mostly visit to see where the bar is and update this thread, to be honest.)

Also, I figured the interface contest was a fun contest and won't have any bearing on TCB interface design, considering where the bar is at the moment. It's way too late to change the interface.

Hehehe! Naw...we uncovered like a dozen bugs today (and are fixing 'em, of course). The bar doesn't get to move for bug fixes. But it does get to take a nap. :|

Heh heh, nope, because the product is, in reality, no less ready than it was the moment before we actually find any lurking bugs. In fact, finding the bugs helps bring the project that much closer to being "done" (as opposed to not finding them), so it generally offsets any perceived percentage increase in total expected time till completion. At least, that reasoning is good enough for me for a project of this scope. :P

But for a bug to be a bug, you would not have seen the bug there, but you have to fix it anyway. Thus, you would have misjudged the percentage of the TCB that you had completed.

Uhh... hasn't every version of DROD shipped with dozens of bugs in the first place? It seems to me that the first floor was full of roaches. :D

Nay, Fafnir is still winning. My vote was 356,602, and the click count has to be bigger than that for me to win (but I've only got a thousandish votes between me and you so I'll have to be lucky if I'm to win).

...Now I'm afraid to click the bar. On the one hand, I could be making it get up to my vote count (and thus help me win), but on the other, I could be making it go up too fast, making me lose when TCB takes its time to get done.

More likely it'll be a photo finish between Maurog, KevG and myself. Which is bad news for me, since being the first in that line-up just means they'll be able to easily skip past me with a single night of obsessive-compulsive bar-clicking.

I'm thinking KevG takes this one.
