You got it, Eversion it is. Although it is about 30 mins - 1 hour long, it has a very nice twist on the classic mario formula. My only complaint is that you have to be *exactly* between two blocks if you want to fall through one block gap, making the final level unnecessary difficult. Still, it is a must play. I was going to say Worms 3d, because that second screenshot looks a lot like a mission from it, but I noticed that there was a person in it. Worms 3d doesn't have people .

I just saw its screenshots on Wii Virtual Console... I haven't played the series, and I couldn't pronounce it for my life, but I've definitely, definitely heard of it.


It's one of the early Ys games.

My specific guess is Ys Book I and II.

Correct, if you have a Wii I'd suggest you get it, if you have a TGCD, you already do.

Bingo.

I wanted to do a similar but much older and obscure game for the PC (one you'd need Google to figure out), but I couldn't find the CD. So instead I shamelessly stole screeenshots from some of Layton's puzzles, trying to choose ones that weren't too memorable.

Pinnacle's up. I don't have enough mod points on me for +3, though.

Just a guess due to the art style, Braid? I know most wouldn't admit that they were charmed by Braid's more postmodern approach, but it IS a puzzle platformer.
