Well, that didn't last! Well done, Tuttle. I guess just being a beta, non-commercial game isn't enough to hide from the forum. Maybe I'll try a movie next time my turn comes around.

Ah, but at least it would have fit on an atari 5 1/4" floppy... :D

Tuttle, are you planning to put a screenshot up here?
(If not, can I have another?)

I dunno why, but I recognised .kkrieger instantly. Probably because I thought it was rather cool (all that in 96 KB) at the time. Took me a while to track it down and get the name though.

Anyway, here's mine.

Tex Murphy: Under a Killing Moon (third one in the series, though the first in FMV), Day 1, after leaving your flat and slightly to the West of Chelsea. "1 point" is not much here if you are aiming for 100% of all points.

Yeah for adventure games!

Well, I have a much easier time recognising adventure games than, say, Half-Life 2 (I have no idea how that one looks).

How about this screenshot? I cannot easily take a screenshot myself, so the screen comes from Mobygames (I'm running Debian with no emulator on board).

Man, I loved Chivalry...sorry for getting it so fast but you definitely picked one of my favorites from when I was a kid...and I think I was even thinking about it a few weeks ago.

Here's my entry. It's one of the best games of its genre, IMHO. It might be too hard though...we'll see by the time the weekend is over.

Game on,

Hey...very good! Correct! I wish it were easy to just jump into an old game like that, but I have been too spoiled by the UIs of recent years. But the magic system and the puzzles in that game were really among the best ever, in my opinion.

(But sometimes I really hated the Apple II for not having a numeric keypad...this and many other games didn't have any option for moving diagonally, I seem to recall...which made them a lot harder than they should have been some times compared to the IBM versions.)

Game on,

Oneiromancer, I think you and me played a lot of the same games when we were younger... Well, let's try another one... I've cut out one of the place names to make it more difficult to google the answer.

Thornberry is the name of the town where the Rugrats live, so I'm going to guess the Rugrats game. :thumbsup

(I really have no idea, but my kids used to watch the rugrats)

Must be, but I really don't recognize that game, unfortunately. I was able to Google something anyway based on what I did see in the screenshot, I'll PM it and see if I am right. I'd rather not get credit for getting an answer that way.

Legacy of the Ancients! I loved it as a kid. The training mini-games were great, and I really liked the way they mixed overhead and first person areas.

Yup! Legacy of the Ancients was also one of my favorites. That was back when I had so much time on my hands that I actually graphed all of the dungeons out on graph paper! I can't imagine actually doing that now...

Edit: Oh, and Oneiromancer was correct about his guess, so props to him for managing to google the answer, even though I tried to make it harder to do so.

You should have seen my maps for some games...I almost listed which ones they were but one of them I really want to do a screenshot for so I'll hold off on that.
