Nope, it's not Castlevania Rivalries.

Seeing as I have no more screenshots from the game, I'm going to call it. The game is called Final Fantasy: Endless Nova. I am going to give a point to Nillo for the first to identify it as a RPGMaker game.

Some explanation of pictures/hints given during this Round:

Overall, I'm finding it to be an enjoyable game, and faithful enough to the FF style of games. Most of the music consists of midi versions of Final Fantasy ## and Chrono Cross tracks. The title screen actually uses a midi arrangement of the main track in the Anime series: Serial Experiments Lain ("Duvet")

I'll post a new game with screenshots tonight.

It reminds me a lot of Banjo-Kazooie, but since there's not a lot of material out there for that I'm going to guess Oblivion, because of all the brown.

It was Morrowind that was brown, Oblivion was pretty green in my recollection.

When I first saw that shot it made me think of either Dark Cloud or Dark Cloud 2...well, Dark Cloud 2 especially, but I thought the city near the water in that game was more modern-looking with stone instead of dirt. But the presence of so much empty space just makes me feel like it will be built up soon. And now I'm not confident it is either of those games because the water looks too high quality for either one (especially the second, which was all cel-shaded).

Actually, the format of the name is:
Dragon Riders: Chronicles of Pern

The game in itself is okay. There's no manual control of dragon-flight, and every time you ride your dragon, you're forced to watch a two-minute landing and take-off of your dragon. But it stays true to the Pern series.
