Hate to steal the obvious from Doom, but I believe it's from the first Fallout game (although the trailer for III reuses it).

Yes, it is in fact from the original Fallout.

It's a game I've started, but never quite gotten into. The setting is truly grim, and the random encounters with giant killer scorpions put me off a little :-O

I don't expect this one to last long either.

Alright, I've never played the first one. Although it is the exact same image, so I think I would've accepted that one myself. I'm not sure but I think it might even be included somewhere in the second game well. Didn't want to go digging for that one, though.

The new one's wrong genre for me, in any case.

Yep. One of those ordinary games made great by a two-player mode allowing you to cooperate or (whoops) shoot your partner in the back. Multiple times.

Eytan is correct. I played that game a lot too...but I must admit, I loved Warlords II Deluxe more. And Schik did too...I believe he had a fansite for it way back when. ;) Warlords 3 was okay, but I guess I had lost interest by then.

Oh, and apparently Warlords II Deluxe is being remade for the DS...I won't be able to help myself buying that one.

Definitely an SSI Gold Box game, and my first inclination is Pool of Radiance.

I know I've seen this screenshot, but I'm not certain where. Is it maybe a view of Arakkis from space from Dune 2?

I don't have anything ready. Anybody who wants to can go, and I'll take a raincheck for when someone else gets caught short-handed.

I actually found that game pretty boring - not enough details, just simple combat all the time.

Anyway, here's the next one... didn't take this screenshot myself but it will suffice.
