That's Evolva.

You control a squad of four "alien" creatures that can mutate different abilities, depending on which creature types they absorb. The graphics had really good specular effects for a game that came out in 2000.

I don't get it. About a week ago my post at the beginning of the thread had a +3 mod. Now it has a +5. Who would mod up a post from that long ago?

And on another note, I don't know what that game is, but it looks fun.

Plenty of people, I guess. I know I got a +1 to a post from Feb 26, 2006 a few weeks ago, and I just got a -1 for a similarly old post. That sure tarnishes my perfect record... at least Tim also got a belated -1 on that thread, so I'm in good company.

Okay, I have a request for people once your game is guessed, and I would like to see it added to the rules as well, Ezlo.

Once your game has been guessed, please remove the in-thread image tag. Having to load 500KB when viewing some of these pages doesn't work well.

Yeah, it's a screen-within-a-screen so you play up to that point, then you do the retro section and it pushes a book out, which you can use for the rest of the level. One of the most frustrating non-final rooms for me because I had a bug where if I saved the game after finishing the retro section I couldn't load it. Very annoying.
