Correct! I believe I played it on Apple ][ myself, but it appeared on many platforms and is regarded by many as one of PenguinPolarware's best.

I recommend nabbing an abandonware copy of it to anyone who has not yet beaten it, as it is a doable challenge. It's a logical piece of simple IF (interactive fiction) with cute graphics and some interesting twists and turns.

My first was an Apple ][ c, platinum edition. It had a narrower (maybe 4" deep?) profile to the keyboard/computer combo, sort of like a primitive laptop with no monitor. And a handle on the end! So you could tote your 40-kilo computer in one hand, with your 100-kilo monitor clumsily groped in the other (theoretically). Ah, portable electronics!

I was thinking of this game with one-on-one gladiatorial combat from the early 80's. As you got hit your armor would begin to break. I probably played it only once, when I was like, nine years old or something, so I have no idea what it was called.

It's closer to Golden Ax. A series of screens with bad guys coming in from the right. Only left and right movement, such as it is.

This was on the first computer my family ever had, which was an Amiga 500.

In this game, you could pick to be either the male or female hero. Neither was very good

I thought this game would have been very easy, since it had the best graphics of any game I had seen at the time (1988).

I remember reading about it in some German games mag - it had got those really big sprites that only the Amiga (while I had an Atari ST) was capable of at that time, but the controls were clunky...
