Re: Life in the Basement (August 30, 2007)
Well, I'm all moved in now. All the suitcases are unpacked, the clothes hung up, and the refrigerator is stocked. I now officially live in Erik's Basement. It's really not as exciting as you would think though. Nothing much underneath Central Massachusetts. Just my new house and a big security system designed to prevent UrAvgAzn from digging down too deep like he's been trying for the past year or two apparently. Note to Jeremy: It'll never work, just give up!
You might be wondering how I got all these nice accommodations while the previous workers here just got a mattress pad and some nice, heavy chains. Well, in the spirit of helping others I will tell you. If you ever get a job from Erik, volunteer or otherwise, make sure to hire a lawyer.
Enough with the chit-chat.
Welcome! I'm Matthew Curtis, otherwise known as Ezlo on the forums, and I will be your host for hopefully a year or two! During my stay here I'm hoping to do several things of note to improve the site. Mainly, catching up on referencing the contests, the canon, and getting more user-made content up here for your archival pleasure. But right now I'm still trying to get the hang of the neat publishing widget Schik has set up for the website. Can you believe that all I have to do to publish on the site is write up a post, post it in a secret board on the Forum, and click the "Publish" button? It's really just that simple! If someone hasn't given him a banana for that yet I'm going to express mail him one straight away!
But I did manage to get one thing done. It's incredibly narcissistic, I know, but I posted the three stories from "The Girl, The Golden Sword, and...well The Golden Sword, anyway" contest. And yes, one of them is mine.
Well, that's all for now, I'll get back to you with more later! See you all real soon!
