Life in the Basement (July 17, 2006)
It's been a while since I officially declared an update, I will admit. I'm not overly happy about it, but at least there's new content that I can showboat, and a whole bunch of things to tell you about.
The first new feature I'd like to point out is my new Dear Editor column I'm giving a try. If anyone out there would like to try an submit a humourous anecdote about DROD affecting your real-life persona (Whether it be real or made up, I won't try and find out for myself) and would like advice, send me your problem, and I will help you out. If you need an added incentive, I'll hand out 15 rank points to whichever letter I find the most funniest within the next two months!
Due to semi-popular request, the Architects' Edition music has been made availible in OGG format for everyone. I'm still working on trying to find a good track listing for DROD 2.0's music scheme, but I'll get a good one eventually.
Anyone who entered last month's contest will already know about Danforth Strout's Biography, but anyone who missed it will be able to read it on the website.
The screenshot section has been updated, with brand-new screenshots for 1.6 that, amazingly, are actually from 1.6 and not rebranded 1.5 pictures. Not much difference, but the eagle eyes out there will probably call "Cheater" on me for two points in that section, but as far as I'm concerned, they're good enough.
In the Stories section, you'll notice that the number of "Beethro the Delver" stories has jumped from three to five. Right now, it's a touch misleading, as I simply classified KDD and JtRH's stories as part of the BtD series. What's the advantage to that? Well, it's much easier to get the storyline buildup to JtRH, and it helps mark which of the stories on there are official Canon.
See? Oodles and oodles of long-lost updates made within the past two months. With about a month left of vacation for me, I'd really like to get this site prepped up for Caravel Games' forthcoming release, so expect a lot of updates to start trickling in. There's been talk of getting the stories of the Canonical Smitemaster's Selections summarized on the site, but we'll have to see how we can make that one work.
Nevertheless, I'm still earning my pay around here.
