Life in the Basement (April 1, 2006)

I'm sure many of you expected that I'd do something evil today. After all, April's Fools Day has a tradition of allowing people to make complete idiots of other people. Still, I realised it too late, and I had nothing good to create, so I decided that I'll make a nice site update instead.

The best news of all would have to be that the Monster Reference section is now done! After various arguements and Conon revisions, we have a set background and behaviour of each monster! The newest of the articles are the Goblin, Seep, and the Brain. Be sure to check them out!

In recognition of this season's Smitemaster Selections, we finally have the character reference on Halph Budkin, Beethro's nephew. We also made a nice detailed article on the Slayer, which should interest anyone wanting to put a Slayer in their next story.

(The Slayer article was the April Fool's joke. You didn't really miss anything if you didn't see the joke - just a simple attempt at trying an April Fool's joke)

Last, but most certainly not least, we have Johan Janssen's Eighth Folklore of The Secret History of Trapdoors, which has been edited from the forum version, so it's worth checking out even if you saw the original. Erik also finished writing up a summary of his experiences at the Gathering for Gardner 7 speech here. If you look on the forum as well, you can find his presentation as well as a link to some interesting puzzles.

In my world, life has been nice to me this week. I received a $100 bonus yesterday, and received my $350 tax return check. Now I just need to find something good to blow the money on.
