I have been serching around the forums, and i can't seem to find an answer, so i will post it here.

Why, when you click the 'watch demo' button in the main menu, does it simply show you a random demo, and in order to manage demos, you have to, while playing the game, hit f6?

wouldn't it be easier to have 'watch demo' (as well as f6) take you to the demo management screen, and have a button there that takes you to a random demo?

or is just because i only have the jtrh demo?

"Watch Demo" does not play random demos. When you create a hold, you can choose to export certain demos with the hold that play from the title screen. They won't be yours, they'll be the hold authors demos, and they're there for the same reason as they often are in other games - to illustrate play without spoiling things.

That's why, when you play most holds, the option is greyed out in the menu - because most authors don't bother exporting a demo with the hold.

Speaking of title screen demos, I took a look at ye olde Webfoot DROD a couple days ago and noticed that it shows a multi-room demo from the title screen.
