Set up a 2x3 block of tar, and create a mimic to one side of Beethro. If both stab the long side of the tar, a tar baby appears underneath one of their swords. This baby survives if the sword moves away on the next turn and dies if the sword doesn't move (which makes sense.) Might it be better for that tar baby not to appear in the first place, as is the case when Beethro's sword covers a spot where a tar baby would be spawned by a tar mother?
