Currently if you want to make a new copy of your hold, you must either copy it level by level, or create a new player, and edit the hold with that player which creates a copy. There should be a smooth way to make copies of holds (say, if I want a universally editable version without secrets and a play-only version with secrets in it)

Yeah, that sounds pretty doable. I'll use pretty much the same copy-and-paste convention: hitting Ctrl-C with a hold selected in the editor will ask "Do you want to make a copy of this hold?" On confirmation, a copy of the hold will be created and selected.
