I know we've seen this here before, but: does anyone know why it is that, with some holds, importing them gives an "ERROR: File Corrupted" message?

In particular, I can't seem to import "The Puzzlebox", though I'm using JtRH, 2.0.10, which I gather to be the most recent version. This happened before, as well, with other holds, but I don't recall which ones, having uninstalled/reinstalled a month or so ago to fix it. (Which, clearly, didn't succeed.)

Schik has just solved a problem I had that looked like this.

Can you try to download the hold again and see if it works now?

Still no good. (I've now installed the 2.0.11 patch, I shoud add.)

Can you check two things for me?

1. How large is the hold file? Is it larger than 1Kb (that was the bug that was solved just yet)

2. Which version of DROD did you install the patch over? (The reason I'm asking this is that I had this problem when I installed the 2.0.10 patch over 2.0.9 patch over 2.0.8 install. I had to reinstall 2.0.8, and install only patch 2.0.10 before it worked again.)

PS. I just tried to install The Puzzlebox, and it installs fine.

The hold on my hard drive is 9.74K, which is the size that t appears to be in this post.

Um. I believe I had 2.0.8 and patched it with 2.0.10. (And, now, 2.0.11.) But I'm not sure, I admit.

I just tried importing The Puzzlebox and it worked fine for me with 2.0.11.

Incidentally, Diago's Dungeon also won't import for me--same error. (And, again, I'm sure there are others.)

It may or may not be of interest to anyone, but buying JtRH (well, OK, winning it in a contest, but having it, in any case) didn't help. Buying a CaravelNet subscription and downloading these holds within the game, however, did help.
