Well, I think I have it figured out, here's my logic.

The reasoning behind impossibility:
1. The gem quota on hard is 92 gems; this means that every gem in the level must be collected.
2. There are 3 dynamite and 6 explosives in the level.
3. 5 of the gems are behind gray-brick walls and have to be blasted out.
4. The first dynamite is used to exit the second area (top-right corner of the level) so only 2 dynamite are available.
5. If 5 of the 6 explosives are used to get at the blocked diamonds, then there is only one "
free"
, but it needs to be used to blast a hole so that the explosives can be pushed to the correct area for the gems in the lower-left part of the level.
6. The remaining two dynamite are necessary to blast through to the detonator for the explosives (and to reach the level exit.)
Why I think it's impossible:
Because, if you are in the top left area of the level, it is only possible to reach the explosives along the left corner and blow them up by dropping a rock on them. Since there is dirt behind them they cannot be pushed anywhere (and the level does not have a magnet.) In fact it is completely impossible to reach the other side without exploding something, as one pipe points outward and the other is blocked by dirt. Using dynamite simply makes it impossible to hit the detonator, there is nothing in the area near it to drop on slimeys for explosions and the explosive box can't be pushed through the pipe - not that there would be anything to drop on it to set it off either.
So any path must necessarily leave you short of explosions needed to complete the level.
Assuming that it is possible to beat the level, then it has to be done this way:

- The dynamite MUST be used to get the detonator. There is no other way.
- This means that the three explosives on the left have to be set off, for otherwise there's no way to advance.
- Which means that there is only one free explosive, so the other explosions have to come from the slimeys.
- But the slimeys are in the wrong area; so, the last free explosive must be used to destroy the pipe leading to that area.
Only one problem remains: to explode three slimeys (for gems) and one explosive (to destroy the pipe) requires four rocks to be dropped, and there are only three in that area.
So this still seems an impossible task.
