We all knew this topic would pop up sooner or later.

One problem I'm having right now is in the entrance room for the 2004 contest levels. As far as I can tell, there's one gem that needs to be picked up, when in fact I need ten. What am I missing?

Suggestion: There's going to be at least half a chuckload of hint requests for SubTerra before it's all over. How about using DROD-style subjects for hint requests, i.e. "2004 Contest: Intro" or whatever it is.

Okay, my bad, I got so excited over the new site that I got a bit sloppy over the 2004 levelset. This is a fix for the first level.

Oh, and notice that the winning level is actually unplayable. That's intentional, since it's a level from SubTerra II. Oops, did I just start a rumor?

Anyway, I am happy to answer "most" questions. Though I've unlocked all but 1 level, doesn't mean I solved them all. (Ray Tracing's vicious. And Razzle Dazzle's taking me too long.)

I can very well enter the HoF whenever I please.

But I can solve/master more levels as I please. I've just been lazy and trying to find more levels to do rather then working my mind on the long and ominous levels.

I got Ray Tracing. I haven't managed to crack Rooms of Confusion yet (although I think I may have a solution for easy mode. It needs more save disks, though.)

As an aside, when I ran through DROD the second time I attempted doing it without hitting checkpoints. In some levels this makes them significantly harder (I ended up using the checkpoints in I think two of the levels because replaying them was getting too tedious.) Having four saves in Ray Tracing makes it possible to do a step-by-step approach. I wish Rooms of Confusion was more along the same lines.

All told, I like SubTerra a lot, although I have a new appreciation for DROD's philosophy of "the whole puzzle on the screen at once".

Rooms of Confusion doesn't need more save disks - for the simple reason that you are very likely to have already made a terminal mistake before saving. Also, it's the first non-tutorial level created for SubTerra ever, and by that point save disks hadn't been implemented yet.

I agree about the 'whole screen' thingy - when playing ST, I tend to pause, drag and F6 a lot.

Me to. That's what I spent 64% of my time on ROC. Pausing, and scrolling.

(Ack! Can't find fourth row secret level! Is there a reason I can't find it? I found the 5th one! The 3rd, 2nd, and 1st one! Not the last one, but still! I would like a hint! X_X EDIT:Nevermind, found it. XD)
