I've successfully connected to "caravelnet" through JtRH, but what do I do now? How do i see others' scores and get holds? I see no sign of connection and no options expect for that announcement marquee and the icon with the green check.

When you are in a room (or on the Restore Screen), go to the demos screen (press F6). If you've completed the room you will be able to download demos from the top 8 players.

To download holds just go to the Hold Select screen (Play game -> Change Location) and all the holds on the holds board will be listed there with its rating and difficulty.
