If you hold down Ctrl to fast-travel through a level, then go through a staircase (via Ctrl-Wait), then (still holding Ctrl) try to fast-travel through the new level, it doesn't work.

This applies whether or not there is an interstitial title screen.

The simple workaround is just to release Ctrl and press it again. But that's like, you know, a whole extra button click.
