been battling this for hours, can someone give me the trick or alignment set-up to release 4 th roach

I'm guessing that you have no problem getting the first three roaches out. This room has a few different ways of doing it, so I will just state one way that works. For this way, you'll need to know about movement order -- right click on any roach, and the one that says #1 will move first, then #2 and so on.

Now, what you want is to have the three free roaches stacked up in the NE of their box, with #1 top, then #2, then #3 (while Beethro is on the NE tunnels). If you don't have this, walk around the top of the box and walk back, and because #1 moves first it's easy to get him ahead of the others so he goes to the top.

From this position, stand on the west-facing tunnel and go through it. Immediately tunnel south. Step onto the north-south pair of tunnels and now you can waggle two roaches onto the west plates while the third one stays on the NE plate.
