The same thing is true in regular DROD if you haven’t stepped on a checkpoint or entered a new (previously unexplored) room in a long while.

Maybe normal DROD should also have a confirmation box. It is not a big change.

With DROD RPG it might also be worth making a backup save of the active game when you start a new one.

It's less likely to have severe consequences in normal DROD except in an unusually-structured hold, but it doesn't hurt to have it in place for those cases.

I would recommend making the prompt something that can be turned on/off in the options menu, because some people will find it inconvenient (I'd turn it off myself, though I wouldn't be upset if I had to see the prompt) and it probably shouldn't happen if you don't have an existing save.

Can confirm this works well in RPG 1.3.0.499.

Haven't been able to test it in normal DROD yet.
