A Day at the Beach : What kind of beach is this? : 2 North, 4 East (0)

I will gladly take a hint on this. I feel like I'm missing some fundamental mechanic. Everything I consider seems to be impossible.

Is there a way to detonate a barrel in this level not using your sword or a hot tile?

Is there a way to activate the western orb not using your weapon?
