Here's a one level hold I've made. I've played through it so I know it's solvable and I don't intend to add any new rooms. I don't think it's really good enough for the holds section, though, so I'll just post it here.

Well, I played it a little and it seems pretty good - but it desperately needs checkpoints, in most of its rooms...

The entrance really needs several. It's all to easy to make a wrong move and have to restart the entire room.

I've played every room, defeated seven of them. The Entrance, 2S1E, and 2S all need checkpoints.

Also, I cannot return anywhere from the south-western checkpoint in 1S1W. Are you certain there is a path?

I really like how some of the rooms rely on quirks, and they're different quirks, which makes it fun to figure them out. Other than 2S, I've really enjoyed this hold.

I'm quite surprised with the response so far, because this hold was intended as a sort of joke. Maybe you are just being polite.

I had an idea and then quickly added some rooms around it. Most of the rooms have been made without much thought and with very little testing. Judging by the feedback, perhaps it could be turned into a proper hold with some tweaking.

The absense of checkpoints was intentional, but I'm not sure if it was the correct decision.

Regarding the southwest corner of 1S1W

I'm not sure what you mean about 1S1W - it's too hard to see what is going on there just by looking at it.

The rooms I can't get are 2S and 1S1W. I don't know if 2S is solvable, I certainly can't do it, though if the brains weren't there it would be just fine.

I think I've also "completed" it as well, but I get sent back to the start of the level again when I go down the stairs. Is this the old "stairs reset bug" creeping in again?

If the stairs send you back to the start, then it's the bug.

I really wonder how this bug works, because everything worked fine when I first tested the hold and also when I played it again today. Maybe if I deleted and imported it, then I would get the infected version, not that I'd want to of course.

I checked the .hold file and it's correct, i.e. the stairs go to "End Hold". Wesley, is this behavior reproducable with your .dats? (If you delete the hold and import it again, does the same thing happen?) If it is, then I'd like a copy of your .dats (or anyone else's who is sure this bug would manifest itself, were I to use their .dats and import this hold) so I can reproduce the bug myself.

Because "9 Rooms, Beethro" doesn't have the same sort of impact, I guess.

Anyway, if anyone manages to solve 2S, I'd love to see a demo of it

I have solved 6 rooms
the entrance is probably solvable
because I have managed to clear all the trapdoors on one half of the room but with no checkpoints I don't have the patience to finish it
2s I will be truly amazed if anyone gets it
1w1s there is no way to solve it
dimono I assume you actually solved the entrance as opposed to just taking the stairs out since you say 7 rooms?
