I killed a Mud Mother a while ago in Break Out of Jail and it appears that the mud that it was empowering at the time of its defeat has turned invincible. Right-clicking on the tiles makes it say "?", followed by an empty line. Included are the .dats.

My Continue (and most recent save) is already in the glitch. To reproduce it on your own, add a powerful sword to the right side of Cell Block C 2S 3E of Break Out of Jail and playtest it from the right entrance, making sure to start with the Mud that lies NE of the Mad Eye (about 7 tiles big) before moving down to the two Mud Mother tiles.

It's the invisible Character standing on the Mud. Any Character (whether visible or not) that is standing on any Tarstuff will lend its own attributes to the Tarstuff. If the Character is invisible, then the tarstuff is invulnerable. If the Character is visible and has attackable stats, then the tarstuff can be stabbed once, which reduces the Character's HP to 0, but does not kill the Character. If the Character's HP is restored, then the tarstuff may be stabbed again. If the Character is killed (via the Imperative Die command or a direct stab), then the tarstuff can be cut normally.

Essentially, it's being treated as a Tarstuff Mother, although there's certain differences around.

So, if I'm understanding you correctly, this is a feature, not a bug? Is this to let people make custom tar mothers?

In that case, this behavior does make sense. But I think that the method the game uses to communicate this is unintuitive.

In any case, I'll go notify the architect.

This feature should be documented. Working on it...

Added in rev 106.
