I know you're a new DROD-er, but I'm tired of playing bad holds, and I'll just be honest with you, so that you can become a good architect in a short time.

My main comment : no real puzzles.

DROD is a logic-puzzle game. Every room "should" be a puzzle, with a "lynchpin".

The lynchpin, is the "trick", or the "goal" to solve the puzzle. A quite common lynchpin, for example, is to place a roach on a pressure plate to open a door.

This could make a puzzle by itself, but adding more lynchpins to a puzzle makes it better and harder.

Your hold hasn't anything like this, it is just "hack'n slash". This means your hold is only based on mindlessly killing monsters, without thinking or solving any puzzle. I guess you will become a better architect if you keep trying and play more holds.

Remember, keep playing, so that you learn tricks and lynchpin to use in your holds.

Although vittro sounded a little rude, I totally agree with him. Smiting a lot of monsters is tedious and isn't funny or interesting at all... :~(

I'm sorry if I was rude, but I want new architects to make nice holds as soon as possible, and sometimes being a little rude is the best thing.

But, who modded down the OP? He is a newbie and doesn't deserve at all the mod down. If I had some mod points (:P) I would've modded it up to 0 again.

You don't have to have lynchpin's. You just need to make the player stop and think. You can always go the way of the war/tiger series and just turn the rooms into huge battlescenes.
