There's only one difference - you won't be able to hide secret broken walls in hard wall.

Real difference: The looks, Hard wall in combo with normal wall have made very pretty-looking rooms. In the editor make a bunch of these 2 wall types, whats the difference with their look?

And you won't be able to see the wall mosaic when you drag the wall over a large space. You'll see just a gray wall space.

And since secret walls, when going through walls make the rest of their path beyond the actual secret wall look like a wall mosaic, you should make wall that you want to hide secret wall in normal wall.
