This Tutorial should provide new droders with some knowledge about the game

I wouldn't call this a good tutorial.

Unless I was lying.

This hold has lots of errors that will confuse a new player, and veteran smiters as well.

Nor does it cover everything.

I would recommend Bad Evil Restaurant before this one. At least that isn't aspiring to be something that it's not.

Unless, of course, you want the HS for the hold. Then it's a quick playthrough.

Here is a list of things which make this hold a very bad tutorial:

* Abusive use of monsters (usually too much, the best example for that is the feugundo room)
* Unprecise scroll texts (sometimes the explainations were too superficially)
* Unwisely placed scrolls (a scroll behind a black door tells me what a black door does....)
* No checkpoints
* Uninteresting puzzles (I didn't saw the queen spawning....)

Avoid those things next time.... the first 4 points could have been avoided easily. If you are doing a tutorial you always have to think that you were a newbie. Avoid big monster hordes and great "kaboom-effects" and create puzzles which let the newbie comprehend the mechanics of the game. What's the behaviour of a roach queen? Why and where is it dangerous? Questions like that should be answered with a tutorial hold.

So in my quest of playing the easiest hold, the second one I encountered is this. Since I don't want to sound nasty, for the sake of it let me tell that it would be impossible to better show my thoughts than Zex and MeckMeck did that.

And once again, I will retain my voting confidential, if you can't guess it :).

On to the next one then...

There usually weren't any checkpoints and I found that a few of the scrolls were oddly placed (there was something behind a yellow door that said to hit the orb to open it or something like that). A couple of the scrolls were on the first tile in the room and had to be gotten off of to read, etc.

The room with the various odds and ends was strange.

It's nice to try to make a tutorial though and I was glad you took an encouraging tone. I didn't feel like I learned about the monster movement too much though. Like in the serpent room. It was stuck in a long passageway and just waited for it to die.

Thanks for sharing.
