This is a short little hold I've been working on, exploring all the new terrain elements from TCB. The theme here is Beethro fighting monsters under circumstances which make it more difficult than normal.

There is the barest hint of a "plot": Beethro's been trapped, and his captors are going to let him fight his way out for their own amusement.

Currently, the first two "levels" are done, and I plan on either one or two more, depending on how inspired I am. :) I do plan on submitting this one to the Holds board eventually, so let me know which rooms are the weak links.

Hmm, I just noticed that the room behind the blue door was required, making that door impassable. I'd played through all the rooms in one go, but obviously added the door as an afterthought. ^_^ That'll teach me...

Hopefully it's fixed now, but the hold is anyone edit if I've made any other stupid goofs. I think I added a few more (gratuitous) scripting elements as well.

Unless I'm being stupid (which is of course entirely possible :~( ) there is no way out of The Dungeon 3N2W.

While it's entirely possible I've mucked something up, if you press onwards (north) you should be able to get back to the rest of the dungeon. I'd check in edit mode if this still doesn't seem to work. (It does require the scripting to work correctly.)

And thanks for taking a look at the hold. :) I should probably give Beethro some lines which make the secret area less confusing.

edit: Don't know why I didn't add this to the initial post, but:

Aha - I don't have 3.2 but I don't know enough about the insides of computers to know if that makes a difference. I'll go back to that room and "bump" anything I can! ;)

Well, the problem is that DROD 3.0 deletes the scripting of 3.0.2rev2 holds. But, thanks to Stefan's excellent converter, there is no need to update to 3.0.2rev2 if you don't want to. I attached a converted file. The scripting should work with this version. :)

EDIT: I suggest you to not update to 3.0.2rev2. It's very buggy.

Very many thanks Tom - that's very kind of you. :thumbsup

(I can't download 3-point-whatever, because there isn't a Mac version yet.)

Starwed - slimm tom's version sorted out the problem and gave me bits of dialogue here and there, which I hadn't seen in the version I downloaded first.

(thanks again tom)

Good to hear it! I went ahead and replaced the original file with Tom's; (sorry I don't have enough mod points to mod him up any further.) Maybe someone should make a sticky thread about this issue for architecture? (There are posts in other subforums, but I can't see one here.)
