So, I have multiple computers. On one of them, I bought TCB. On another I have yet to buy it. Is there a way I can re-download it without buying it again?

An easy way would probably be to activate your CaravelNet (you got one month as a trial), and download it from the forum (you will find it here).

That's odd. For me it's under CaravelNet downloads.

You need to assosciate it with your cnet account by following the links in the emails you got. Requesting a new key might help too, it did with me.

He has associated it, as per the trophy listed among the other images beneath his posts. And as far as I know, the key is only used by the DROD client to connect to the server (and is not used / needed for anything on the forum).

Activating your CaravelNet account is different than registering purchases of JtRH, TCB, KDD, etc. That must be done so the forum knows which user account you have bought the game for.

That's my understanding as well.

I'm still a bit confused... Can somebody condense what was said here?

What Blondbeard said in his first post. If all is correct, you have gotten an offer for 1 month of CaravelNet with your TCB purchase in your mail. Use that offer, put it on your forum account, log in to the forums, and go to the Downloads Page. It will be at the bottom there.

Note to long-time CNet subscribers: do take the free month, even if you don't need it. That's the only way (I know of anyway) TCB will show up on the downloads page. For any other games you purchase (JtRH for example), also use the corresponding free month to have it show in the downloads page.

That would be e-mail, not regular mail (in case that wasn't clear). And if you didn't receive such an e-mail message, you need to find your order number (should be in one of the e-mails from Plimus) and contact Schik about it, being sure to include the order number. He'll be able to help you.

Wait - you mean it was there one minute and gone the next? :huh

In that case, I would seriously examine the filtering going on in your inbox...

No, my inbox deletes emails I've read after 24 hours.

Beg pardon? :huh

Might I suggest archiving important mail like that in the future? You know, like... longer than 24 hours?

(Sorry, but with having a mail archive myself that reaches almost 9 years back it's just hard to believe someone would delete read emails after 24 hours... it's not as if mail storage wasn't dirt cheap nowadays...)

np: Richie Hawtin - Tonarzt (DE9 - Transitions)

Maybe he has a phenomenal memory, like some of these autistic kids, and can remember every single word he read since he was five. At least, that's the only reason I can think of to treat your read mail so cruelly.

My university email account sure doesn't do that!

Heh, my sister's old uni had a 2 MB limit on email sizes when she first got there, and this was in 2000... sometimes schools just have bad IT policies.

No reason not to get one of dozens of possible freemail accounts with 1GB+ storage and have your mail forwarded or collected...
