How come you are back up here squeekie? Three weeks ago you were two thirds through Level 17 with your q/w keys sticking.

No doubt there are a number of methods for doing this part of the room but I will say how I tackled it.

Clearly you have worked out which squares to avoid initially, then:

Actually I just finished 2 rooms in level 21. I'm posting this for my brother as I have a web hosting site where I can upload the GIF for him and post them. Thanks for the reply. I told him the same thing.

finally killed two goblins in lower right corner (SE) only to have the game crash back to desktop two rooms later losing all
data up to this point again. From now on I save my data file after conguering hard room. I have had this crashing and losing
data and having to replay rooms often. Should post in bugs.

Are you using one of the beta versions, which lets you build holds, or the original 1.5 Caravel release? If you're using the original release, then the bug may have already been fixed, and the programmers will assume that is the case unless the crashing is repeatable with the latest build of the beta. The final release should be really soon, and you can transfer your saved games, so hold in there!

I am using the original 1.5 caravel. I don't understand anything
about importing/exporting files, importing demos and playing.
I don't see those options in my game. Must need beta version.
I am afraid to load a beta over my current version even with
my dat file saved, since I might lose all my progress. You guys
are way over my head with all this build talk, importing/exporting and such.

I wouldn't worry about getting the beta if I were you then. Just wait for the final release, version 1.6. Whenever I install a new version of the beta I put it in a new folder, so I still have my old files. And I created a backup DROD folder also. So if you're careful you won't lose your old files. And when you do upgrade to the next version it will take all your saves over, no problem. When you have a chance to play around with the new holds you will understand the importing business a bit better.
