Hold Management (+1)
Every so often, I go to my 'My Stats' page to look at the Holds I've conquered, the Holds I've started and not conquered, and the Holds that I've not even cracked the plastic on. Usually, this gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
But lately, I've been feeling kind of uneasy. Why? Well, the number of holds I started and then abandoned has been growing. On one level, this isn't too surprising. Most my 'abandoned holds' are on the high side of difficulty. Until fairly recently, that list included Tar Ballroom, Dusty Dungeon, Beethro's Teacher...you get the idea.
But I've been trying to cut down on that.
So a question for all of you out there:
Of the holds you have started playing, how many have you yet to conquer?
Of the holds you have conquered, how many have rooms that you haven't yet completed?
For me:
At the moment I've succeeded in lowering my 'Explored but not yet Conquered' list to 20 holds. I'm going to see if I can keep it from going any higher than that.
Of the holds I've conquered, I have unexplored rooms (Missing High Scores) in a whopping 38 of them (some of these may be moot...for example, Pilchard VIII's 'The Slayer's Revenge' has a whole bunch of inaccessible rooms that are still marked highscoreable).
But I have made a resolution -- let's see how it works out:
I would like to have no more than 20 Incomplete holds at any given time.
I would like to make an active effort to reduce my Missing High Scores count to a more reasonable level.
Now I just have to decide how I'm going to do it.
Hmmm...Nanfro Budkin's First Dungeon? Lost Temple? Magic Show? Odd Jobs Expert?
What about you?
