I apologize for not mentioning the Source Forge version of DROD before, but I was just caught up in the whole thought of 3D DROD. The Source Forge version will be almost identical to the original, but with cleaner, more efficient code, and perhaps some added features. It will be quite some time before 3D DROD gets released, and this Source Forge version is the first big step toward it.

The bar on the main page displays how much of the Source Forged version of DROD is complete. Upon completion, it will be released for Beta-testing.

You'll be pleased to know that there are five active developers right now: Erik Hermansen (of course), Michael Welsh Duggan (who is also working on a Linux port for DROD), JP Burford, Rik Cookney, and John Wm. Wicks, with a few more waiting in the wings. They're very busy busting out DROD code, which means a faster release for us hardcore-fans. ^_^
