So I've completely fried my brain on this one. Managed to get to the lower west side having defeated the queens NE but it seems that I'm now stuck. I have access to final pit of queens but I can't seem to get the right combo of trap-doors and sword pointing. Any help mucho appreciated.

Thanx Br, it was the first part I was missing: not realizing I could clear the room standing on the trap, somehow thinking it was a 3-wide passage (not a 2) above me. Onwards ...
