This is a very short, fairly quick hold that isn't very hard.
There is no storyline to speek of(It would just degrade the hold, trust me)
I'm sorry if the hold feels a little rushed, it is so that i could use it as a hold to advertise in one of the Caravel Competition's.
This hold is aimed at newcomers(or people who want a quick, easy hold), as it will give them the chance to hone their roach smiting skills.

Hmm.. a bug semmed to have duplicated the hold. It might also be, that you submitted it twice.

This is a nice little hold. Level 2 (which I haven't solved yet but I've seen all its rooms) is more interesting than level 1.

There are a few too many rooms that use spiders for no good reason, and a few rooms that you can easily leave without conquering and then get stuck, but nothing too serious.

Note that it's a really, really bad idea to put the version in the hold's name, since you'll screw updates up if you change the hold's name. So basically, even if you update the hold, please keep the name constant as "Roach Fest v1.00".

Roach Fest is a nice, short, 2 level hold with much pleasure. I really enjoyed playing such an easy hold for a change. A little hack n slash, but not too over the top. I even saw some pretty good rooms, and an abundance of secret rooms.

I gave it an 7 with 4.5 brains of difficulty. :)

Mastered it. very nice hold by the way, normally I don't like such holds but this was really fun!!, I gave it an 8 rating with 3.5 brains.

Has this been updated recently? and why?

9 #1s have just gone missing and am trying to figure out where from... then I noticed this had been updated.

Huh? all I did was change the theme for the second level!

This is weird. Last time I changed the theme to the entrance to the second part, not realising that it only changed the room, not the level. Why changing the rest of the level cleared the highscores is beyond me. Maybe its what happened to Ice Island, in which case it should be restored shortly.

Whenever a hold is updated, all scores from that hold queue up for reverification. So, wait and see if it fixes the problem.

Well that's what it seems to be doing now, but its a bit odd that it takes it time in showing that the demo's are in line for verification.

Yeah, it was just a case of demo reverification. I always panic when I see a load of #1s disappear from my HS after spending a day working for them. Anyways, it's almost back to normal now (for me, at least - still a few to verify).

I'd recommened posting an update message in the hold thread before any update explaining why, what and how things have changed. Just a thought for next time...

Is it safe to presume that no structural changes have been made?

I enjoyed it, there were some good puzzles. A few of the rooms were very clever and while I liked the large spiral maze (slaying roaches there was fun), getting back and forth through it was tedious. Nearly every room presented some little challenge. Thanks!

Not a bad hold. It's not particularly polished, but it was fun! There were no tedious rooms, and in fact, there was one room that was truly brilliant. Part 2: 1S. And 1N1E was fun and challenging. Part 2: The Entrance was kinda hard until I figured out to just spin my sword. It gave me such a headache! I wasn't particularly hard but I congratulate you on your patience taking the time to time it right.
