I've joined the group of people who completed all of the levels. Here are my scores that are better than anyone else's so far:

Just 4 left now....

I'd like to add my voice to the idea of a level editor as I think there's a lot of mileage left in this game with one.

Only one score better than anyone else so far and I challenge anyone to better it:

Attached another patch, btw. This one uses SDL_Delay to prevent 100% cpu usage on Linux, etc.

Well done to everyone who's cleared the game, and especially to those with 100% mastery! (I wasn't really sure if players would bother going back to redo levels for better scores, but I'm glad I put that in now!)

Oh, for keyboard players Ctrl-R is a shortcut to restart the level. (I forgot to document it). The only reason it's not on R is that I tend to play on my laptop with QWEASD keys, and it was a bit too easy to hit it by accident.

Thanks for those patches - I've integrated them into the linux download on the site.

Also, Carefully Does It seems to have an unintentionally trivial solution. Or else it's an intentional solution and most of the stuff in the room are red herrings (I didn't use any of the anti-ice, for example).

While it was intended to have some red herrings, it seems I overlooked the simplest solution... There are a couple of other levels like this too (Look at the par for the level "Outposts")
Oh well, I'm not intending to change the levels now... But it does demonstrate that I ought to have got some other people to help me test it before release... Something I'll bear in mind next time!

For those who have completed (and mastered) most/all levels, here's a new challenge:

In most levels, you can run around forever and still finish the level successfully (i.e. with an arbitrary large number of moves). In about 30% of the levels, though, you cannot exceed a certain number of moves, let's call it the anti-par, and finish successfully.

Most of these anti-par scores are rather trivial, for example:
#01: Green Walls (anti-par 55).

(Some levels have only one possible number of moves at all, i.e. par = anti-par, but that's a different story.)

Anyway, I think the most interesting anti-par levels are these:

Nothing new to say really.

I've solved 90% (and that might be all I can manage).

It's a beautifully done game. It has a very professional look and feel. I think this game could be very daunting, but you did a good job starting with easy levels and introducing new features gradually. Adding the par scores is also a brilliant idea that I might 'borrow" in a game I'm developing.

Two thumbs up! :thumbsup

A very nice concept, beautifully implemented. Thank you for creating it.

A couple of very tiny nit-picks, should you ever create another version:

--- Could it be made to remember full-screen mode please, instead of having to set it every time.

--- It would be nice if pressing Esc several times backed you out of the program step by step all the way to Windows, as DROD does.

Awesome game! I've solved 92% so far (though I'm far from mastering it).
Very nicely done. I particularly like the reflections in the water.
Two minor features that would be nice:
- When holding down a key, you have to wait for the animation, unlike when you repeatedly press the key.
- Being able to pause the animation without bringing up a window that blocks the view would help with laser/icy tile situations.

Interesting idea. You could define the anti-par for the other 70% as well: Don't allow repeated positions (as in not just the position of the player, but the whole setup). This of course doesn't affect the 30%.

What a superb little game this is!

I've got to 100% solved and 91% mastered, but I can't see how to get par on Clearance. Would someone mind posting or PMing a hint or two?

I also can't see how anyone could do do Deslippify in less than par ... 85 moves is very impressive!

I second that request for demos - I did Clearance in par before, but it took me a while to figure it out again. I'd also like to see a demo for Spinners II. I keep coming up 3 moves short of VortexSurfer's record. Anyway, some hints to narrow things down for Clearance:

Hey, sometimes it is the best - it just is not better than the best ... Anyway it is getting rather hard to top high scores, but it's still possible:

Okay, what with one hundred levels and all kinds of scores it is getting a little difficult to keep track ...

Here's a little website providing personalized statistics for you - without giving away the actual best scores.

Please try it out and tell me if it works for you (or - more importantly - if it doesn't).
