Ha! You're kidding, right? I remember the first time I saw a similar site, a friend of mine sent me there...and she was so pissed that I figured it out before even doing it a second time. (It must be karma for how bad I suck at the notpr0n and God Tower-like games.) I won't give away the answer though to those who haven't seen it before. ;)

Game on,

Grr, Oneiromancer beat me to it, again. I see the problem too now, though it took me a while to see what was wrong.

Very weird indeed.

However, there is a rational explanation.

Oh, and look at how many people forgot to use Occam's shaving implement (or just didn't know about it). It's quite amusing.

Yes, I did notice, although it took me longer than it ought to. I just didn't want to give it away. ;)

I'm not sure how serious the comments are though. Either there's some slow people around or they're all trying to keep up the pretence. Personally I suspect the former.

It is possible to fool the ESP test, but very difficult. I don't want to spoil it for people, but after you've tried the test a few times and had your fun, I can tell you here how to beat it.

Here is a trick that is a little more obvious, but still pretty impressive.

That one doesn't work. I picked the one on the far right but it showed me the second one from the left.

Hmm. That's interesting. I programmed it to always show the one on the far right. (Most people can't tell.) Did any assertions fire? Do you have an ESP.err on your desktop? If so, send them to me and I'll look into it.

Or the comments themselves are made up! I really hope it's not your former explaination, though that would explain why our world is in such a mess :(

People, as a whole, really have a low attention span, which is why we feel we need to be entertained most of the time. And a few peoples jobs aren't that stimulating, but you didn't hear that from me...
