icon Switching holds, restoring (0)  
If I'm in a completed room, switch holds, and switch back again, then go straight to the restore screen, the restore point is the empty, completed room, whereas if I had not switched holds, the normal restore point with monsters would have been shown. Clicking 'room start' does not show a room with monsters again.

Yeah. It's just showing the point from where the room in progress can be continued.
Clicking 'room start' does not show a room with monsters again.
This seems to be working for me with my working build of 2.0.11. If there's still a problem for you in 2.0.11, let me know.
