For anyone who hasn't been following the Film Festival and Golden Pie Awards, we asked people to make some "
films"
using the DROD game to record them. First we had a contest for which film people liked best, then we had a second contest for judging acting performances. So DROD players have added their voice recordings to the films, to see who is a good actor (or at least good at making funny voices). We are voting now on this, and anyone is welcome to join in the poll above.
The six film entries are going up in reply posts to this topic. Voting responsibly means:
* Watch all of the films. If you have trouble getting them to work, please post here and people will try to help you. I've personally verified that it's possible to watch all of the films.
* Vote for the
performance you liked best. We already judged the films for plot, writing, and general entertainment value. Here we want to rate the recorded speech actors gave. It's entirely possible for a film to have a performance that is better than the film itself. Look at Christopher Walken's career, and you'll know what I'm talking about.
* Disregard recording quality of the speech. We are all amateurs here and don't have money to put together nice recording studios. At this nonprofessional level, whether a recording sounds clean or crackly is largely a matter of luck--so don't hold pops and noises against anybody.
* Contest entrants please rate your own works as a "
10"
. Otherwise, the self-deprecating Woody Allen types out there will have an unfair disadvantage.
