I seem to remember some levels where you could not scroll to certain areas of the level, and therefore didn't know what everything would do unless you tried it. Am I crazy? Do such levels exist? Can you prevent some scrolling in the level editor?

Yes, it is possible. You can access it from the 'Ornaments' page in the editor...but you'll have to find out how to get the page yourself.

Um. Thanks. So why can't you just tell me where this page is? Is it like some members-only secret or something?

Well, searching the Subterra forum for "Ornaments" turns up this thread, where The Stew Boy asks if it can be revealed and Radiant, the programmer of SubTerra, says "Nah, let them figure it out." But this thread has the answer at the bottom.

Game on,

Oh and for the record, the way levels are split into 'rooms' like in the tutorial levels (that only scroll when you move to the next room) cannot be duplicated in the editor.

which is a happy thing, because it would be very annoying in custom levels. I want to be able to see everything from the start. If you can't make a challenging level withought hiding stuff, don't.
